Privacy Policy

This policy covers two things: this website, robertplacido.com, and Cacoethes Publisher, a private tool Robert Placido uses to post his own music and videos to his own YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok accounts.

This website

The site sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and has no accounts or forms. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Videos on the Songs page are YouTube embeds that load only when you press play, from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com). Once a video loads, Google’s Privacy Policy applies to it.

If you email me, I use your message and address only to reply.

Cacoethes Publisher

Cacoethes Publisher is not a public app. It is used only by Robert Placido, on his own computers, with his own accounts. No one else signs in to it.

What it accesses. With permission granted through each platform’s sign-in screen, it uses:

  • YouTube Data API (YouTube API Services): to upload videos, set thumbnails and captions, and manage playlists on the Cacoethes YouTube channel.
  • Instagram API (Meta): to publish Reels to the cacoethes.tx Instagram account.
  • TikTok: to post videos to the cacoethes.tx TikTok account.

How it stores data. The sign-in tokens and the IDs of posted videos are saved only on the owner’s computers. They are not sent to any server run by this site.

Sharing. No data from these accounts is sold, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Data goes only to the platform it came from, to carry out the posting the owner asked for.

Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. By using YouTube features, the account owner agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies.

Removing access and deleting data

Access can be removed at any time:

  • Google / YouTube: Google security settings
  • Instagram: Settings → Apps and websites, in the Instagram app
  • TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions

To have any data related to you deleted, email hello@robertplacido.com. Requests are handled within 30 days. Stored tokens are deleted when access is removed or the tool stops using an account.

Children

This site and tool are not directed at children under 13, and no data from children is knowingly collected.
